Cashew CNSL Mortar
Cashew CNSL Resin Mortar is applicable for Acid Resistant Bricks/ Tiles lining as jointing and bedding mortar. Users can use this kind of mortar for jointing stoneware pipes that are chemical resistant.
This mortar can also be used for ETP Plants. It can be used in applications that demand good resistant property and heavy impacts are subjected to the surface of tank as well as floors. Cashew CNSL mortar strongly adheres on the metals as well as concrete and ceramic surface so, it can be used as a monolithic lining for the fabrication of dilute acids storage tanks.
Resistant: This mortar is resistant to alkalies, acids, as well as blended alkaline solutions with acids. It also resists at temperature 170° C (Max.)
Preparation of Mortar
Powder and solution are added while preparing Mortar. Good working consistency can be obtained by using the average mixing ratio of 3 Pbw of Powder and 1 Pbw of Solution. This ratio can slightly vary based on both, the temperature and working conditions.
In the preparation of small batches of mortar, solution must be stirred thoroughly before use. The solution must be placed in a mixing pan and powder must be added. For mixing the Solution, spatula or trowel can be used. The solution must be mixed until a uniform blend is obtained. It must be made sure that all the mortar from the mixing pan is used before preparing the next batch.
Surface Preparation: Slightly rough, clean, dry and in line & level cement plastered surface that maintains required slope is worked upon, as slope can not be altered or adjusted in Acid proof lining works.
Setting / Curing
Cashew CNSL Resin Mortar is said to be self-hardening, given to the chemical reaction caused when the Powder & Resin are blended together.
No spilling of water must be done over the bricks lining works before these are totally cured.
Both, powder and solution are stored in cool and dry place under the roof in their original unopened (Sealed) containers.
